Große Schuhe

In Naarm/Melbourne gibt es unzählige Musikprojekte, für die Multitalent Dylan Young als musikalischer Joker fungiert. Stets solide hilft er am Schlagzeug aus, bedient die Regler oder bezahlt das Bier. Mit seinem eigenen Projekt Way Dynamic geht es nun in die dritte Runde, und zwar unter dem Motto „Massive Shoe“. Das passt gut, denn die Vorbilder, an denen sich Young orientiert, sind die ganz großen: Beatles, Beach Boys und Nick Drake stehen Pate, doch Young schustert etwas Eigenes daraus.

Was als Mangel oder Einschränkung empfunden werden könnte, dient manchen Musikschaffenden als Ausgangspunkt: Wir hören uns in der heutigen Golden Glades-Ausgabe ein paar tape-affine Entwürfe an. Mit dabei sind Ginger Root, Melting Steine und Teenage Tom Petties.
