Politische Fragen möchte diese Sendung lieber nicht beantworten. Es geht hier schlicht um Musik bzw. um die Redewendung «middle of the road». In den 60er und 70er Jahren war MOR ein gängiges Radioformat, das für moderate Klänge stand, oft versehen mit mehrstimmigen Harmonien und leichten, orchestralen Arrangements. Also durchweg gemäßigt und ganz ohne Überraschungen?! Nach zwei Programmstunden wissen wir mehr. Nur so viel sei jetzt schon verraten: unterwegs treffen wir auf Sonny & The Sunsets, Die Regierung und Diners.

Das Miracle von Manchester

An Wunder glaubt er zwar nicht – aber die stille Hoffnung, die hat ihn schon einige Male über schwierige Zeiten hinaus gerettet. Es sind persönliche Songs, die der Brite Francis Lung auf seinem zweiten Solowerk «Miracle» präsentiert. Fast im Alleingang hat er es eingespielt, hauptsächlich mit Gitarre, Bass, Schlagzeug und Klavier. Beeindruckend, wie spannungsreich Lungs Musik ist und wie mühelos sie auf das Pop-Handwerk der 60er und 70er Jahre zurückgreift. «Miracle» ist ein nachdenkliches Album, zugleich aber auch hymnisch und vor allem lebensbejahend.
