Süß bis salzig! Bei Golden Glades gibt es heute Musik, die bei aller Magenfreundlichkeit verschiedene Geschmäcker in sich vereinigt. Wir befassen uns etwa mit dem genre-übergreifenden Festival «Apples and Olives», welches Anfang März an drei Spielorten in Zürich und Bern hoch- und subkulturelle Ansätze verschmelzen möchte (mit dabei der zartbittere Pantha du Prince).
Außerdem im Fokus: der zauberhafte Songwriter-Folk der Südamerikanerin Yani Martinelli: Ihr Album «Atlas» klingt trotz komplexer Strukturen leicht und luftig.
Ambivalent ist die Lage bei Purr. Das New Yorker Duo taufte sein Debutwerk zwar «Like New», bezieht sich musikalisch aber auf den Sound vergangener Dekaden. Egal, Hauptsache es mundet.
