Ein Glück, dass die Musik einen ganz anderen Zugang zur Realität erlaubt – einen, der von vornherein keinen Anspruch auf objektive Allgemeingültigkeit erhebt. Kaum ein vernünftiger Mensch wird bestreiten, dass die Popmusik der 1960er Jahre äußerst offen und experimentierfreudig war – und dass sich diese Haltung in einigen der besten Platten aller Zeiten niedergeschlagen hat, üppig instrumentiert und reich an Melodien. Heute wird sowohl in Sachen Soundästhetik als auch in der Harmonieführung wieder gern auf die Sixties Bezug genommen. Bedächtig aus den Winterwolken rieselnder Schnee hat das Zeug dazu, uns im Nu zu verzaubern.
