Suture (franz. «Naht») meint in der Filmtheorie die unauffällige Montage, das bruchlose Kontinuum. Als solches gedenken wir auch die heutige Golden Glades-Ausgabe zu gestalten: ohne harte Schnitte, stattdessen voll subtiler Überleitungen, die einem fast entgehen könnten.

Einfach zuhören

Beunruhigender Trend unter jungen Leuten: Musik laufe nur noch im Hintergrund. Zwar sei immer irgendeine Playlist aktiviert, aber man höre da eigentlich nicht hin. So zumindest wurde es uns neulich von einer Vertreterin ebenjener Generation berichtet.

Stimmt das? Wie dem auch sei: Die heutige Golden Glades-Ausgabe ist – wie überhaupt alle Golden Glades-Ausgaben – dem sorgsamen Zuhören gewidmet, ausgehend von Andy Shauf’s Bandprojekt Foxwarren mit dem Song «Listen2me“, bis hin zum neuen Konzeptalbum von Field Music.

Pop Underground

Im Schatten der Akropolis fand vergangene Woche die zweite Ausgabe des Pop Underground Festivals statt. Sagenumwobene Bands wie The Flatmates und Karen (mit Brilliant Corners-Sänger Davey Woodward) waren in Athen im familiären Rahmen zu erleben. Ebenfalls dabei: The Legendary Bang mit yours truly am Schlagzeug. In der heutigen Golden Glades-Ausgabe erfolgt ein kleiner Erlebnisbericht aus teilnehmender Beobachtung.
