Zwischen Frühlingserwachen und Winterstille erzählen die Lieder von Aufbruch, Wandel und Vergänglichkeit. Einschalten, zurücklehnen und den Jahreszyklus in Musik erleben mit Beiträgen von Thurston Moore, Edith Frost und Jake Xerxes Fussell.

Wir wissen nicht genau, welche Songs aus dem Radio kamen, als Mama Zettpunkt in den 1960er Jahren am Bügelbrett stand. Dass Musikbegleitung verschiedenste Tätigkeiten erleichtern kann, steht aber außer Frage. So ist es zwar nicht unbedingt nötig, während der heutigen Golden Glades-Ausgabe Arbeit zu erledigen – aber möglich wäre es schon.

Rein in die Bubble

Es ist ja oft die Rede davon, wir müssten raus aus der Echokammer, in der stets nur widerhallt, was wir eh schon wissen und hören wollen. Stimmt natürlich auch. Das Album «Bubble» von Whitney K zeigt allerdings, dass es auch ganz schön sein kann, sich auf engstem Raum zu bewegen. Wie sehr der Songwriter aus Toronto den Spuren seiner offensichtlichen Vorbilder Velvet Underground folgt, das hat Stil. Wir folgen seiner Leidenschaft gerne. Große Schuhe

In Naarm/Melbourne gibt es unzählige Musikprojekte, für die Multitalent Dylan Young als musikalischer Joker fungiert. Stets solide hilft er am Schlagzeug aus, bedient die Regler oder bezahlt das Bier. Mit seinem eigenen Projekt Way Dynamic geht es nun in die dritte Runde, und zwar unter dem Motto „Massive Shoe“. Das passt gut, denn die Vorbilder, an denen sich Young orientiert, sind die ganz großen: Beatles, Beach Boys und Nick Drake stehen Pate, doch Young schustert etwas Eigenes daraus.
