Melodien, die sofort ins Ohr gehen und Geschichten, die auf Anhieb Eindruck hinterlassen: Davon gibt es in der heutigen Ausgabe gleich einige gute Beispiele. Aufhänger ist das 1971 veröffentlichte und jüngst auf Vinyl wiederveröffentlichte Meisterwerk «Into Your Ears» von Pete Dello And Friends. Bereits Ende der 60er Jahre sorgte der Mann mit der markanten Hornbrille für salonfähigen Baroque-Pop als Teil der britischen Formation The Honeybus. Trotz – oder vielleicht auch wegen? – des kommerziellen Erfolgs zog Pete Dello es allerdings vor, die Popstarkarriere gegen ein gutbürgerliches Leben als Musiklehrer einzutauschen. Als letzter Gruß aus dem Studio erschien ebenjenes liebenswürdig-romantische, humorvolle Solowerk, welches auch über 50 Jahre später noch zu becircen weiß.
